What is the future of Commercial Disinfectants?
For the past few months, people around the world have been dealing with a crisis unlike anything most of us have ever faced. The COVID-19 pandemic has turned the world upside down, and nearly everyone has been affected in some way.

Nevertheless, H.B. Fuller is still forging ahead; still striving to be the best adhesive company in the world. Not only have we remained open for business, but our employees are discovering new ways to work as we navigate the challenges of staying connected while maintaining a safe distance from each other. Our people have made outstanding contributions to our organization as well as their communities.

Our factories and supply chains continue to operate smoothly. Thanks to those of you who have been proactive in helping us. We have been in a good position to help customers who have had supply issues in China and locations in Europe, and we are prepared for similar challenges in other parts of the world. Our employees are working in a safe and controlled manner with a sense of urgency, recognizing that we need to help our customers through this challenging time.

Our shared service centers are equipped and prepared to complete work remotely, ensuring that we can process and manage raw material orders and customer deliveries without disruption. Our factories have supply contingency plans, and our technical people are prepared to serve customers in a safe manner. Our sourcing teams around the globe are engaging closely with our supply base. Where appropriate, we are allowing visitors at our sites but only those who show no flu signs or conditions.

The economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the dramatic decrease in petrochemical feed stocks that happened over a week ago is still unknown. We are working to manage the impact by serving customers better than ever and by managing our costs. We encourage you to protect the employment of your people, and, we are asking that our petrochemical suppliers pass on a portion of the savings you are realizing from lower petrochemical feed stock costs pro-actively.  By initiating these decreases proactively, we can work together to manage our supply chain and care for our employees rather than negotiating prices.

Thank you for your support. We are here to work with you and ask for your support in three areas:

  1. Protect the health of your employees and any of our employees with whom you come into contact. Connect with us remotely in a proactive manner where face-to-face is not practical or appropriate.
  2. Communicate early and often regarding any potential supply chain disruptions. We are counting on you and so are our customers.
  3. Proactively work with us to share cost reductions related to petrochemical feedstock cost decreases.

Again, thanks for your support, and please keep yourselves and your employees healthy.
